Quality Care at Comstock Place Spokane Adult Assisted Living Home
We view our residents as our own family, not as customers. We go beyond basic care by treating each person as an individual.
The Details Are Important
We take the initiative to make sure our residents' needs are taken care of, down to the details.
For example, it is important that their undergarments are not as only comfortable as possible (not made out of harsh plastic), but also provide a high enough level of protection to preserve their dignity.
Personal Dignity and Quality of Life
Instead of doing everything for them, we encourage them to do things that they can for themselves. Fore example, putting on shoes, getting dressed, and brushing teeth. It takes longer sometimes, but it preserves their dignity and helps maintain mental sharpness.
We advocate for our resident's needs and we look at the whole picture: nutrition, products, environment, and providers.
Needs We Help With
A personal care evaluation is conducted to determine available options. Higher levels of care are available for current residents as their needs change.
We help the elderly, as well as others who need assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, eating, toilet, or medication. Serious health problems such as diabetes, respiratory problems, depression, and dementia also benefit from our attentive care. Our staff is also trained to assist with special needs such as oxygen, insulin assistance, special dietary regimens, insulin assistance, and administration with nurse delegation. We can also help with travel to medical services and essential shopping.
We accept people with stable mental health. No smoking or use of alcohol or non-prescription drugs is allowed.
